The Hydrophillic board store had a lil opening / art show recently to launch their boutique style store in the surfing mecca of Australia, Torquay.

It was a fun event with lots of killer art. The Thomas surf boards looked amazing and Tyler Hatzikian was a good dude, chillin with a few beers and talking story with all the crusty sea dogs including resident foam carver Chizza, of South Coast Surfboards.

Artists featured were Ryan Heywood, Luke Taaffee, Ed Sloane, Nick Morris, Rob Weeks and Xavier Davies. Their works were hung in the glassing factory, adding an unique feel to the often stale galleries.  The brain and senses of all present were nearly overcome by the intoxicating resin, foam and paint fumes running through the air (a situation we were all willing to withstand due to the awesomeness of the situation).

Located beside on Baines Crescent, be sure to drop by and pick up a coffee at Soul Fuel and sled on the way for your next shred.
