Kai Neville – creator of hip surf-art phenomenon Modern Collective, which brought super low necked T’s and off-the-back-of-the-head-beanies to the masses, spawned a million new tumblr blogs (including KWT), and single handedly initiated the rise and death of the Escher triangle – is nearly ready to unsheathe his latest film LOST ATLAS. True to current, on the pulse trends, he’s ditched the triangle and gone with a circle.
Sticking to his formula of the worlds best and most exciting young surfers ( OMG JULIAN!!! ), mixed with location based sections and HD super pretty filming – it promises to be an enjoyable watch for a wide variety of audiences. Girls will like it ( OMG JULIAN!!! ), boys will like it ( OHH FUUK BRO DANE REYNOLDS ), art fags will like it ( I heard some of it’s like..shot on film & RED cameras and stuff, whatevs ), and even football jocks will dig it, because there’s bound to be some Mexico titty shots…bound to be. I will be really surprised if there is not. If the trailer is anything to go by, it will also have some beautifully shot lifestyle scenes from all around the world, some choice sounds and a drunk guy. Or he might just be old… or on drugs. They’re all the same thing really.
This is kidswithtalons’ film boy, Blake Myers, first go at the big time – he’s doing so well! He’s been working with Kai for the last 8 months, filming, editing, and weirding people out. We’re all really proud of him.
